This pattern is written with explicit instructions for ANY knitter to follow.
The very last page has instructions for those familiar with Swing-Knitting™.

The design is a relatively easy knit and can be made in a matter of a few days (with interruptions, of course). With yarns in a stash, the project done in a variety of color combinations is perfect for a personal wardrobe accessory and is especially unique for gift-giving. Depending on the yarn and colors selected, the possibilities are limitless!

Choosing yarn (from Sport to Bulky) the garment dimensions can vary from 9” x 41” to 13.5” x 53”. When knitting two different kinds of worsted weight yarns, one with a Merino/Silk blend and the other with a Washable Worsted weight were surprisingly different in size. The finished dimension was 3” smaller in length and 1.5” smaller in width for the Washable Worsted weight due to the “memory” (elasticity) of the yarn. Comparisons are included in the pattern instructions--with “approximate” measurements and gauges.

The Fields/Stanzas (terminology used to describe the short row areas) are all the same patterning. It is highly recommended to use markers to easily identify where Double Stitches are located and where to turn for the short rows. However, they are not necessary.

It will be fun to see the various projects unfold. Swing happy everyone!
