Inger
The name Inger is derived from the Old Norse name Ingifridh, in which “fridh” means peace or beauty. These qualities are reflected in the mittens’ understated, minimalist design.

CONSTRUCTION
The mittens are worked starting from the cuff. Begin with a German Twisted CO using the larger needles to create a stretchy CO edge. The cuff is then worked in Brioche St. The thumb gusset is shaped with brioche increases along the outer edge of the mitten, at the beginning or end of N1, depending on whether you are knitting the left or right mitten.
