These spiders are really easy to knit in garter stitch (knit every row). Perfect for when you remember the deadline for the Innocent Big Knit charity knit www.thebigknit.co.uk is this month. Alternatively you can use them as an egg cosy.

Use double knitting (USA Light Worsted) yarn and 4.5mm (UK size 7, USA size 7) needles.

You need Furry/ Fuzzy yarn for the body and normal yarn for the legs in the same colour as the body or in a contrasting colour. You also need some buttons for eyes, or contrasting yarn to embroider eyes on instead.

Body size approximately 6.5cm (2.6 inches) wide by 6cm (2.4 inches) long.
Legs about 2.5cm (1 inch) long.
