“Intaglio” means a design incised or engraved into a material.
The textures created here in the ribbing and certainly the cabled edging are truly stunning.

This piece is knitted flat with yarn held double. Worked from the bottom up, in a rib pattern that switches midway and then ends up with a spectacular cable portion.
Intaglio can be styled many ways when using a shawl pin like the
fabulous Disk as shown (see notion link for info).

Measures 22.5” in length by 8.75” in height. The rib knitting created in your fabric will stretch a good deal up to 4.5”.

Yarn
Tubing, a bulky weight, super soft in the shape of a tube yarn, filled with soft fleece. 164 yards a skein in color Graphite as shown here.

Alternatively use 355 yards of bulky weight yarn held double.
