Sometimes you just need a nice warm pair of mittens. Sometimes you also want those mittens to be pretty. That’s where these came from. With a classic fit and tight stranded knitting, these mittens quickly become part of your every day wear (if you live in the bitter tundra…)

Made to fit a medium sized woman’s hand, but the finished project has a lot of ease.

I used about half a ball each of Patons Classic Wool, worsted weight, in Aran and Jade colorways. Patons says this is worsted, but with 14 wpi…I like to think of it as more of a sport or fingering weight.

You will also need a bit of scrap yarn to hold the thumb stitches and a couple of stitch markers.

Happy knitting - I am always available to clarify anything you may need!
