Interlocking Lace Heart Afghan
NEW RELEASE: The Interlocking Lace Heart Afghan is 30% off now through 5/31/26! No code needed!
Do you love the look of filet crochet-style designs? This Interlocking Lace Heart Afghan incorporates the look of open spaces, filled blocks and lacet stitches to create this filet crochet-style heart design. For fun, a few extra diagonals were added to the lacet stitches to create hearts!
If you’ve been wanting to try diagonals on an interlocking filet crochet project, but aren’t ready to attempt one with a massive amount of diagonals, this is the perfect starter project for you!
This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as design charts for reference. If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel! You can also read about it on my blog!
This same design is available in two additional formats:
- If you prefer overlay mosaic crochet, this design is also available as the Mosaic Lace Heart Afghan, worked in a double overly mosaic technique.
- If you’d like to try filet crochet in thread, check out the Filet Lace Heart Wall Hanging as well.
