I made this in support of defeating depression. So many have depression to some degree, including me. I made this as a reminder that we should all live in the light to keep the darkness at bay. As you make the afghan you will be going from the darkness into the light. The outer rounds are words of encouragement to help you stay in the light. The top says ‘You’re loved’ as a reminder of your family and friends’ support. The long sides say ‘Live in Light’ to remind you of the good memories and where you should be every day. The bottom says ‘Never Alone’ to remind you that you are not alone in your struggle and there is help out there.

The word section is not charted. Instead I have written it out in a way that makes it extremely easy even for those who have never done filet crochet. I have done all the math for you. The sides are made so if you drape it over a couch, the words ‘Live in Light’ is readable on both sides.

I hope you make this and work your way into the light as you go.

As always, I am an email or PM away should you have any questions.
