If you must go into the unknown, be sure to take a cowl. It might be cold there.

Make it thick so it’s warm, but lacy just in case you need to be a little bit fancy. “Into the Unknown” fits all these criteria - it will keep you warm and pretty on your own journey. The cowl features a variation on an Estonian lace pattern, Äärepitsi Kiri (“outline lettering”). Instructions are included for both bulky and super bulky versions. The project is worked in the round, entirely on the right side. A quick and dramatic accessory.

Skills: Following a stitch pattern, lace, working in the round.
Notes: Gauge is not critical, but changes may result in more yarn being needed. Use any yarn with appropriate needles. The pattern includes both bulky and super bulky versions. Size may easily be adjusted by varying the number of repeats. The lace pattern is both written and charted.
