A fun pattern for a cable hat in camel hair yarn with a pom pom in a contrasting yarn and a sleek ripped brim. It can be finished with most DK 100 gram skeins + extra yarn for the pom-pom.

Despite its complex look, it’s actually fairly easy to knit and basically consists of standard left and right cable crosses all the way to the top. You do, however, need to be able to read a chart and knit in the round. All in all, it took me 10 hours to finish.

The pattern is for size M (male), but can be adjusted to fit larger or smaller head as well.

Finished measurements: 9.4 inches high and 8.6 inches wide (lying flat) but it gives quite a bit.

Needles:

  • 4mm circs (or dpns) / US Size 6
  • cable needle (size 6 or smaller)
