Invernal Fingerless Mittens represent the meaning of the Spanish word for wintry “Invernal”. If you knit them with the suggested yarn, the 50% angora will keep your hands warm and having your fingers bare is convenient for answering cellphone for example. They are modern and trendy. The cuff construction is unusual for mittens,it is horizontal ribbing, that stretch enormously, so you can wear them over the cuff of your coat or jacket.

The yarn is the fabulous Invernal, a blend of 50% angora rabbit, 25% merino wool and 25% polyamide. A hank of 100 grams will make 2 pair of mittens!

The pattern is suitable for intermediate to advanced knitters, and you will need at least basic crochet skills also. However, part of the fun is the challenge actually, right?

It comes in one size, however if you need different size I recommend using thinner or thicker yarn instead of changing the stitch number, because the flower motif is centered on top of the palm carefully calculated over the stitches. If you need them shorter or longer, just add or omit a garter stitch row at the cuff or bind off side.
