Several months ago Dana, of Unwind Yarn Company, asked me if I’d be interested in designing something for her new JetSetter Bulky yarn. I immediately thought big bulky cowl and set to work trying to come up with a motive I found pleasing. Nothing inspired me until I found the stitch pattern for Inverness Diamonds in a Barbara Walker stitch dictionary. It immediately grabbed me with its name as I am currently terribly Outlander obsessed. Dana had previously dyed up some gorgeous Outlander inspired color ways and is even introducing a brand new one called Highlands as I publish this pattern, so the pattern and yarn were immediately a perfect fit. So perfect, in fact, that I came up with a little more than just a bulky cowl.

This particular pattern is for the long and short mitts in worsted weight. The pattern has written line by line instructions as well as a chart for the Inverness Diamond pattern.

50% of proceeds for the first week of sales of all Inverness Diamond patterns sold (October 6-12, 2014) will be donated to SillyFru of the SassyPantsKnitter podcast to help out with medical bills.

To make things fun Caffeinated Knitting and Just one More Row podcasts are hosting a KAL for the Inverness patterns knit with yarn by Unwind Yarn Company from October 6th through the end of November.
