Invert, the name of this beautiful necklace describes the look of the lace tips facing inwards, rather than pointing away from the neck as most designs do. Why not be a bit different, right?

The necklace is knitted flat, from the bottom up with two garter stitch edges flanking the lace repeats to allow for buttonhole and button to be placed.

The blocked measurements are 20” in length and 1.25” in height.
The pattern is fully written and offers a lace chart as well.

Yarn as shown
A very special mini skein in a spray painted yarn. 50 yards in a fingering weight, self striping blend of 40% cotton and 60% metallic lurex.

Notions needed
US size 0 (2 mm) circular needle 29” (74 cm) in length.
2 Stitch markers.
Darning needle for finishing.
1 button about 1.5” in circumference.

Gauge: 15 sts and 16 rows in 2” of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied:
Knitting and purling flat, knitting stitches together, lace knitting, slipping stitches, creating a buttonhole, binding off, weaving in ends, blocking for best results and sewing on a button.
