Whether you need a baby blanket, wheelchair afghan, throw blanket, lap blanket or a blanket for any size bed, this pattern can be customized to suit your needs simply by adjusting your foundation chain.

This beautiful lacy lap blanket is created by alternating a row of shell stitches with a row of puff stitches. The border consists of several rows of the moss stitch followed by one row of puff stitches and then finally one more row of moss stitches.

The only stitches you will need to know are the single crochet, double crochet, and puff stitch. Written instructions are given for the puff stitch, which is located in the “Special Stitches” section.

Photos of each row are shown below the instructions and a stitch chart is also included at the end of the pattern.

The Iris Lapghan measures 46.5” Width x 53.5” Length and uses size 4 medium weight yarn and an I/9 (5.25 mm) crochet hook.

This pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
