From the pattern description:
"The Irish influence comes through clearly in my two bag designs. IN Irish Cables, the rope cable is reminiscent of fishing and the sea and the diamond is a symbol of Celtic Wealth.

For the first bag I chose a color frequently seen in Ireland’s landscape, the gray-brown of stone castle walls. This color is expressed beautifully in the wonderfully textured tweedy single-ply yarn."
