This design is an homage to modern quilts, as it combines a bright, cheerful palette with a contemporary geometric pattern. My inspiration for this particular project was a quilt made for me by my dear friend, Denise DeSantis, pictured here on the right. In a nod to the graphical layout of an Irish Chain quilt, this design is built upon crocheted squares which are joined in the corners as as they are worked. This modular approach facilitates both a speedy project and a beautiful drape. You’ll find that this design is perfect for showcasing those gorgeous indie skeins, tucking into beloved minis and/or using up those odds and ends that every crafter seems to accumulate!
