The Irish Moss Hot Water Bottle Cover is a quick and easy knitting project. A great gift for anyone who likes to be cozy. Most aran weight yarn will work for this project. I used Hayfield Aran Bonus yarn for the main sample pictured.

The patten is written for a standard hot water bottle measuring approximately 21cm in width and 35cm in height including the neck or 28cm in height to top of the body.

This pattern is knitted flat using straight needles. It is knitted in 2 parts that are sewn together. The neck is really stretchy and the empty hot water bottle can be pushed in/taken out from there. It is an excellent pattern for beginners.

Materials
5 mm straight needles (SPNs)
Aran yarn 170 - 220m/186 - 240 yds (I used Hayfield Bonus Aran)
Tapestry needle (to seam and to weave in the ends)
