Irish Spring is a feminine, crescent-shaped lace shawlette made of 525 yards of fingering weight yarn, although other lightweight yarns would also work. The lace in the body of the shawl is an all-over, simple-to- follow pattern. It is knit from the top down beginning with only 7 stitches, and finishes with a pretty pointy lace border that is knit at the same time as the bind off is done. Once blocked, the shawlette is slightly over 6 feet in length, and is 14 inches at its deepest center point. Full written instructions, row counts, chart for the body of the shawl, and video help links are included in the pattern.
