Isabella by Kristin Spurkland

Isabella

THIS PATTERN IN NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM SHIBUI KNITS

Isabella is a pattern for ankle-high socks (cuff can be knit longer if desired), and is made holding Shibui Staccato and Silk Cloud together.

These socks are meant to be worn as “bed socks”--that is to say, for lounging around at home, not for walking around town or hiking in the woods.

Pattern from “Shibui Luxury”, published August 2010.

There is errata for this pattern.

Pg 22, under Heel Flap, should read:

Heel Flap
Row 1: Sl 1 pw, k21.
Row 2: Sl 1, p21.
Rep these 2 rows until 22 rows total have
been worked.

(the first printing includes an additional “p2” on row 2 that should be omitted)

page 22, final toe round:
Divide sts over 2 needles: knit the first 6sts of the next round, place next 12 sts on another needle, place last 6 sts on first needle. 12 sts per needle. Graft the toe stitches together.
