Island Life Socks
Are you ready for your island getaway?
These top-down socks feature a stranded colourwork motif around the leg, inspired by that great entrepreneur, Tom Nook. These socks begin with a contrast 1x1 ribbed cuff, with a choice of two or three colour leaf and zig-zag motifs, giving you the option to recreate your Animal Crossing wardrobe, or use a special yarn from your favourite indie-dyer. The heel-flap features a hard-wearing and attractive slip-stitch, which is turned using simple short-row shaping. Gusset stitches are then picked up and decreased before a plain stocking stitch foot, ending with a classic wedge-shaped toe which is grafted closed using Kitchener Stitch.
Pack your project bags and escape to a luxurious island destination - yes yes!
## Pattern Notes and Special Techniques ##

- Instructions for Kitchener Stitch are provided in the pattern.
