The Issey socks are made using a combination of regular knit stitches and brioche knitting.
If you’re looking for a pair of socks that are very squishy and warm and cosy, but still practical enough to wear in regular shoes, then the Issey socks are the answer!
The two colour brioche stitch lets you play wth two colours, maybe you want high contrast, maybe you want to add a pop of vibrant colour to a solid neutral, maybe you’ve got some left over sock yarn from another project? Well the Issey socks are the answer, again! :-)

This pattern assumes you are already familiar with sock knitting, although you don’t need to be an advanced or expert sock knitter, some prior knowledge of sock construction would probably be beneficial.

This pattern uses VERY basic brioche stitches, and is definitely achievable even if you have never done brioche knitting before. If you are new to brioche knitting you will find this list of tutorials in my Ravelry group very useful.
