This verstaile knitted Swing shape garment is ideal for use as a light-weight coat on chilly autumn and spring days, or as a smart cardigan in the winter. It looks equally nice with trousers or a skirt, dressed up or down with jeans or cords. Knitting it is a breeze! It is knitted throughout in stocking stitch on 3.5mm needles in Frangipani guernsey 5 ply wool, and takes approx. 800g of yarn if knitted with full length sleeves. It is knitted from the front left side seam to the right, and from the back right side seam to the left. It would be possible, if you are an experienced knitter to knit this in one piece, with 2 false side seams traditional to guernseys (knitted in the round) but it would be very heavy to have on your lap while knitting!
