I love buying half skeins (50 grams) even when I don’t know what I’m going to do with them. This pattern was designed to pair a 50 gram skein with a 100 gram skein, but it’s flexible. You can adjust the chevron border in many ways, whether it’s just a preference change or if it’s to accommodate your amount of yarn. Notice that I have one example with just a black trim and no stripes in the chevron. With the green, I used 2 full skeins, so I made the chevron longer since I had more yarn.

Shawl doesn’t necessarily require blocking, but I highly recommend it. Pin blocking will make a huge difference in opening up your work and you can shape it exactly how you want it. You also will not be able to get your points in the chevron without pinning them in place.

As written, size is approximately 62” x 17”.
