Itty-Bitty-Mousie
Here it finally is! My first pattern! I’m so excited! I was wanting to make something instantly gratifying that wasn’t the millionth dishcloth I’ve made.
I have cats that love “kicking toys”, and I thought they might appreciate tossing it around and waking me up in the middle of the night ;) Thus the Itty-Bitty-Mousy-Softie was born.
You can use really any kind of worsted/aran weight yarn you like. Or you could go crazy with chunky yarn, or crochet thread; it’s all up to you. Just make sure to crochet the tail with a hook a size or two larger, it makes it loopier and bouncier in contrast with the tightly made body.
Supplies:
-4 mm hook
-5 mm hook
-blunt tapestry needle
-stitch marker (optional)
-stuffing
-catnip(optional)
-scissors
-oddment of black yarn(for embroidering the face)
-Any kind of ww yarn will do (I used less than of a skein of Red Heart
Super Saver)
Feel free to make a nest (a group of mice is referred to as a nest) of these infused with catnip, and give them to your local animal shelter! Sharing is caring, and all that!
Psst…Please don’t reproduce or sell my pattern, cuz it’s mine ! I would love it if you made these and gave them away, just as long as you don’t claim the pattern as your own, or sell the finished product on a massive scale. Thank you, and enjoy!
-Jules
