Ivette Top
PDF pattern for the Ivette Top Knitting pattern + pattern look book.
About the Pattern:
Ivette Top is a knitted blouse with a v-neck silhouette, and three-quarter length sleeves or cap sleeves. The pattern begins by working in the round, bottom up, with waist shaping along the body of the top. After the body section is complete, the bust and the back is worked up together, then separate for arm holes. Lastly, sleeves are worked in the round along the arm holes. The pattern is advanced beginner and is written in English using US knitting terminology.
Recreating/ redistributing this pattern into a tutorial of any kind is strictly prohibited. You may sell your finished top but please credit the pattern.
Sizing This pattern is not a traditional graded pattern
It is made- to-measurements (M2M), which means you can plug in your exact measurements and recreate a top that fits like a glove. M2M also allows you to use any yarn and needle combination. Making a gauge swatch using desired yarn/needle size, and plugging in necessary measurements will formulate personalized stitch and row counts.
Techniques Used
Long tail cast on, folded hem, waist decreases, bust increases/short rows, picking up sts along the row edge. Video tutorials are provided for certain techniques along the pattern.
Materials Needed
* Yarn of choice recommendations any size between fingering and worsted weight
* yardage will differ per size, refer to last page on listing for yardage estimates
* Disclaimer* if you’re planning on making a version with stripes, keep in mind the SR section of the bust will make your stripes shrink in half on the back side only*
- Circular needles with a 40.5 cm cord (or any cord 25 cm shorter than waist size)
- Needle size will differ depending on yarn size- go up .5mm from your yarns recommended needle size or for more drape, at most 2.0 mm larger than recommended.
