This pattern is a lace leaf crochet cardigan available for sizes XS-XXL. The pattern has about 2-4 inches of positive ease to ensure you can easily layer it.

The cardigan is reversible. It can be worn traditionally as an open-front cardigan, or reversed and worn as a long-sleeve top with an open back.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
The construction of this cardigan is straightforward and does not involve complex shaping techniques. However, the leaf stitch pattern requires careful attention and may take some time to become familiar with.

Crochet charts are provided throughout the pattern, including for the gauge swatch, to help you better visualize the stitch placement and pattern repeats.

Materials needed:

  • Yarn: 250 (300) 300 (350) 350 (400) g of fingering weight yarn. Other yarns used by testers include: Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/4, Drops Baby Merino, Concept by Katia Silky LaceThe type of yarn will change the overall look of the cardigan. Choose cotton/bamboo yarn for warmer season wear and alpaca/wool for colder season wear.
  • Notions: Darning needle (for weaving in ends), scissors, and measuring tape
  • Optional: Hooks and eyes or other closure clasps to sew onto the cardigan. Alternatively, ties can be created using yarn.
