This straightforward, color-blocked, triangular shawl is a delight to knit. The worsted weight yarn and size 10 needles work the pattern up quickly and easily. I hope you enjoy knitting this shawl as much as I did!

Measurements
19″ / 48cm From CO edge to tip along center stitch.
48″ / 122cm Wingspan along top edge.
Measurements taken after blocking.

Instead of using the yarn-over (YO) increases along the border (like most triangular shawls), this pattern uses M1 increases on each right-side row and M1 purlwise increases on each wrong-side row.

  • M1L-P: Make-One Left Purlwise. With yarn in front (as if to purl) and with left needle, lift strand between sts from the front, purl through the back loop.
  • M1R-P: Make-One Right Purlwise. With yarn in front (as if to purl) and with left needle, lift strand between sts from the back, purl through the front loop.
