Jacaranda slipover is an oversized vest with a loose turtleneck and twsited rib and aran detailing. It is knit from the top down, first flat shaping neck opening with short rows and increases, and shoulder slopes with double increases. After that Back and Front are worked separately down to the underarms, at which point the work is joined in the round. Hem, armholes and neck opening are all trimmed with 1x1 half-twisted rib (with optional arans).

This tutorial gives you detailed step-by-step instructions for the whole process, including written instructions, charts, photo- and video-tutorials.

You will need
yarn
Aran-weight yarn with some wool content and a bit of fuzz so that it’s not too heavy.

Original sample knit out of Cowgirlblues ‘Aran Single’ (80% wool, 20% kid mohair; 120 m / 131 yds per 100 g / 3.6 oz).

For default length of ~65cm/25.5” you will need 660 (720, 840, 960) m / 720 (790, 920, 1050) yds or 6 (7, 7, 8) balls of original yarn.
