Jack Rose is a rustic, yet delicate cardigan featuring short sleeves, a loose shape, and a cozy length. It’s a classic sweater in allover lace, but the details throughout make this a fun knit and a unique cardigan.

Deep pockets and a folded hem add to the cozy feel, balancing the delicate lace lace with a little weight. A change in pattern at the shoulder seams and a beautiful side panel create some unexpected lines in the lace itself, and shaping along the collar adds depth and a nice balance on top. Plus - the shading in this subtle, sophisticated pink is just gorgeous.

I LOVED the Farmer’s Daughter Pishkun yarn - a soft, round Rambouillet fiber that’s just heaven on the needles. It’s perfect in a geometric lace such as this, where the quality of the yarn itself shows up in the pattern, but doesn’t compete with the lines of the lace.

I can imagine throwing this cardigan over almost anything this summer - from a dress to jeans to cutoffs and a tank.

It’s easily modified, and notes are in the pattern on how and where to do so. Sizes begin with a 30.75” bust, because I think this cardigan works really well on a teenager, as well as an adult.

Increments between sizes are about 4-5 “/10-12.75 due to lace repeats, and notes in pattern also address how to easily create in-between sizes. It’s knit from the bottom up, seamed at shoulder. Collar and sleeves are picked up around openings and knit to end.

Yardage by Size:

Sizes:
30.75(35.25,39.5,43.75)(48.75,52.5,56.5)” 78(89.5,100.25,111.25)(123.75,133.5,143.5)cm

Sizes reflect circumference around bust, worn closed. I suggest choosing the size that allows approx. 4-5”/10-12.75cm of positive ease at bust for fit shown.
