Originally knitted for my mother-in-law’s 70th Surprise Birthday, Jackie’s Surprise is an elegant reproduction of an antique. Two rich and beautiful purses from one pattern. Purse can be knitted without fringe, but the fringe does complete this purse.

Knitting Skill Level: beginning to medium (increasing and decreasing necessary to accomplish fringe all the way across the bottom).

Small:
Materials: 2 balls perle cotton, 5 hanks 11/0 beads, 5.0” frame
Finished Size: 6” wide x 7” long

Large:
Materials: 3 balls perle cotton, 11 hanks 11/0 beads, 6.25” frame
Finished Size: 9.5” wide x 9.5” long
