Jaki was my grandmother. She was a strong leader and teacher who loved nothing more than to craft-especially knitting and crochet-and to spend time with youth. Some of my fondest memories of my teen years are filled with Gramma Jaki and her crazy ideas and love of life.

Jaki’s shawl combines yummy fibers with fun and playful color use, and easy but fun texture and lace, to both honor and emulate the fun and playful woman who was such a large part of my adolescence.
