Jane and Jeremy’s First Bunny
This is a great first pattern for a beginning knitter.
PLEASE NOTE: Gauge and yardage will vary greatly in a beginning knitter’s hands. No problem.
One square - ish shape will transform into a delightful little hand-sized, simple bunny.
Smaller ‘baby’ bunnies can be made until a whole family appears, but I recommend staying in the range between 12 and 16 sts, then knitting a square plus a few rows. Fold the piece diagonally to check the square, do not count rows.
Mistakes and other common beginner errors will be overlooked in the delight experienced in completion of this lovely little easy first project.
See my linked website and book Teaching Through Stories: Jane and Jeremy Learn to Knit for more information about teaching knitting to beginners.
