Meet George Jetson, his boy Elroy, daughter Judy, Jane his wife… that’s right I couldn’t get the Jetsons theme song out of my head. It was one of my favorite cartoon shows when I was a kid and out of nowhere the song popped into my brain and it WOULD NOT leave. So I decided to use it. I was in the middle of knitting some fingerless mitts for a local Christmas fundraiser and one thing led to another. These are the mitts I designed for Jane and of course I designed a pair for Judy too. You can see them in my Ravelry store. I’m in love with these Jane mitts. I think they are sleek, modern and chic. You must like them too or you wouldn’t be knitting my pattern. Enjoy!

Notes:

This is an easy straight forward knit in the round project with some gentle shaping on the cuff and thumb. I am writing the pattern to knit on 2 circular needles although you can easily distribute it to dpn’s if that is your preference. Running Cascade Kid Seta with Mini Mochi gave me a lux fabric with beautiful gradation in color that isn’t given justice in the photos. I think it’s what makes the mitts so chic and Jane-worthy. I imagine Jane as very fashion conscious with an eye for detail.
