Jankerchief is a word game and is made out of two words: Janker and handkerchief.

It is knitted bottom up and it contains three buttonholes for 3 different sizes, which means that it grows with the child and can even be worn by adults. It is also designed big enough to be tied into a knot in the back. The edge is the eye catcher and contrast colour of the piece, for which yarn leftovers find a wonderful use.

For this project you’ll need 50g of yarn and about 10g for the contrast colour. The jankerchief is knitted on 4mm circular needles with a 60cm string, but you can also use straight needles.
