This pattern shows you how to make a circle in the beautiful jasmine stitch. Jasmine stitch is uniquely suited to working in the round, with 6-petal flowers interlocking to form truly seamless joins. The fabric is thick and reversible, perfect for placemats and trivets. Use a natural fibre if you are using it as a hotplate! Yarn suggestions are given in the pattern, but my favourite for a trivet is Rainbow Cotton by Hobbii, which is a sport weight 100% cotton that makes a solid trivet that isn’t too bulky.
If you are new to jasmine stitch, it is a little mechanically challenging at first, but you will catch on quickly. The pattern is fully supported with videos on my Youtube channel:

If you watch the circle video, you will understand how to extend the pattern so you can make your own circles in any size. Jasmine stitch is one of the most beautiful stitches out there - enjoy !!
