✨ Skill level: This project is ideal for expert crocheters (intermediate+) or intermediate crocheters with some Jasmine Stitch experience. That said, adventurous crocheters at any level are welcome to give it a try! Just be kind to yourself if it feels tricky at first ❤️ The Jasmine Stitch is gorgeous, but it is a complex technique.

Use ideas: Jasmine Flowers are perfect for adding a handmade touch to everyday items! Use them for keyrings, garlands, baby mobiles, table decorations, appliqués on hats, bags, blankets, or clothes, mending patches, or as small gifts or party favors.

Yarn suggestions: This is a perfect stash-busting project! If you’re crocheting at the suggested gauge, you’ll need about 11 meters / 12 yards of yarn per flower. (This is an estimate. The final amount depends on your yarn type, hook size, and how long you pull the loops.) You can use many types of yarn. The flowers shown are made with Merino Extra Fine by Drops Design (105m / 115yds per 50g / 1.8 oz), but any DK / 8 ply yarn can work well.

Want an extra fluffy finish? You can also make the flowers using two strands held together: one fingering-weight yarn and one lace-weight mohair. The mohair adds a soft, fuzzy halo that fills out the petals and gives a fuller, more even look.

Suggested combinations: Main yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino, Cotton Merino, Sandnes Sunday, Filcolana Arwetta / Halo yarn: Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair, Rauma Plum, Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair (Each main yarn: 235m / 50g | Each mohair: 212m / 25g)

Washing tip: If you’re attaching the flower to a garment, make sure the yarn you use can be washed at the same temperature as the item.
