You can make the trivet in 3 sizes
Size/measurements:
Small: 15cm (5.9”) measured diagonally
Medium: 22cm (8.7”) measured diagonally
Large: 31cm (12.2”) measured diagonally
Please note that these are not exact measurements. The size depends on yarn choice and how long you pull the loops when crocheting.

You can also use the pattern to make cute hanging ornaments — simply use thinner yarn, a smaller hook, and pull the loops a bit shorter when working the Jasmine Stitch.

The Star Trivets are adorable and surprisingly quick to make — once you crack the code!

It can take a little time to get there though — this is an advanced Jasmine Stitch project.

✨ Experience level:
This project is best suited for expert (intermediate+) crocheters or intermediate crocheters with Jasmine Stitch experience.

If you’re new to the Jasmine Stitch, I recommend starting with a simpler project first — you can get my best starter pattern for free here.

Suggested yarn:
Drops Snow — 50 m (55 yds) / 50 g (1.8 oz) — or any similar chunky / bulky / 12–14 ply yarn.

Yarn amount (using Drops Snow):
• Small – 50 g (1 skein)
• Medium – just over 50 g (2 skeins)
• Large – 100 g (2 skeins)

Other yarn types can work beautifully too, so feel free to experiment with what you already have. Just note that the Jasmine Stitch is very sensitive to yarn choice — thickness, fiber, and twist all affect the result.

I recommend natural fibers that can be washed and won’t melt or deform when exposed to heat (avoid acrylic and other synthetics).

Before buying a larger quantity, make a quick swatch to test the texture and size.

Gauge:
Determined by petal loop length, not hook size.
Pull loops to approx. 2.3 cm (0.9”) when working the Jasmine Stitch.

Suggested hook size:
4 mm / G-6 — use a hook much thinner than your yarn label suggests (for Drops Snow, that’s normally 9 mm / M/N-13).

Also needed:
• Scissors
• Tape measure
• Yarn needle
• Stitch marker
