Jayne Hats for All
This pattern is a way to easily design your own Jayne Hat, using ANY yarn, and ANY needles, that you like! Just take a few measurements, and punch the numbers into the built-in calculator. You can even save a link to the custom calculations if you want to come back to it later.
There are only three steps required to customize your own hat pattern:
- Measure your head.
- Make a gauge swatch, with the needles and yarn you want to use, and measure it.
- Use the calculator! Jayne’s your guy when it comes to shootin things, but when it comes to the mathin, I’ll handle that.
I cannot guarantee that the yarn you choose will look good - but I can guarantee that if you do these things, it will come out the size you want it to. I recommend a worsted weight yarn, but really anything will suffice.
This can be scaled down to make a Jayne Hat for a baby, or even a doll or a pet - or scaled up for that guy you know who has a ridiculously enormous head (in my case, my husband.)
