Jean-Bonnet est un bonnet tricoté en circulaire, avec deux fils, un pure laine et un silk mohair tenus ensemble. C’est un bonnet au look basique, côtes 1/1 et jersey endroit, mais sa construction en deux temps et la petite bande en jersey double endroit lui donnent toute son originalité !

Tailles : 1 – 2 – 3 – 4

• 1 – 1 – 1 – 2 pelotes d’Atlas Sandnes Garn (col. Harvest Moon) ou autre fil d’épaisseur worsted.
• 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 pelotes de Tynn silk mohair Sandnes Garn (col. Amande ) ou autre fil d’épaisseur lace.
Équivalent métrage pour chacun des fils : 108 – 108 – 108 – 125 mètres.
• Aiguilles circulaires n°3,5, n°4 et n°5 (40 cm, ou 80 cm pour pouvoir travailler en magic loop, sinon prévoir des aiguilles n°5 doubles pointes pour les derniers tours du bonnet).
• 4 anneaux marqueurs (1 d’une couleur, tous les autres d’une seconde couleur), aiguille à laine, ciseaux.

Échantillon : tricoté avec les deux fils pris ensemble et les aiguilles n°5 en jersey endroit en circulaire : 16 mailles x 24 rangs pour un carré de 10 cm de côté.

Circonférence du bonnet : 40 – 44 – 48 – 52 cm (pour tour de tête 45/50 – 49/54 – 53/58 – 57/61 cm environ).

Porter avec une aisance négative de 5 – 10 cm environ. Je porte le mien avec 8 cm d’aisance négative. (Pour savoir quelle taille choisir, mesurer son tour de tête, retirer l’aisance souhaitée et tricoter la taille avec la circonférence correspondant au résultat).

Jean-Bonnet is a hat knitted in the round using two strands held together: pure wool and silk mohair. While it has a classic look—featuring 1x1 ribbing and stockinette stitch—its two-stage construction and a small band of double stockinette stitch give it a truly unique touch.

Sizes: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4

• 1 – 1 – 1 – 2 skeins of Sandnes Garn Atlas (col. Harvest Moon) or any worsted yarn.
• 1 – 1 – 1 – 1 skeins of Sandnes Garn Tynn silk mohair (col. Amande ) or any lace yarn.
Approximately for each yarn: 108 – 108 – 108 – 125 meters / 118 – 118 – 118 – 136 yards.
• Needles: 3,5 and 4 and 5 mm / US 4 and 6 and 8 (or size to meet gauge), 40 cm, or 80 cm if working with magic loop technique, otherwise, use double pointed 5 mm / US 8 needles for the smallest rounds.
• 4 markers (1 of one color, all others of a second color).

Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette stitch worked flat and in the round on 5 mm / US 8 needles with both yarns held together.

Cap circumference: 40 – 44 – 48 – 52 cm / 15 ¾ – 17 ¼ – 19 – 20 ½ inches (fits head circumference: 45/50 – 49/54 – 53/58 – 57/61 cm / 17 ¾ / 19 ½ - 19 ¼ / 21 ¼ - 20 ¾ / 22 ¾ - 22 ½ - 24 inches).

To be worn with approximately 5 – 10 cm / 2 – 4 inches of negative ease. I am wearing mine with 8 cm of negative ease. (To know which size to choose, measure your head circumference, remove the desired ease and knit the size with the circumference C corresponding to the result).
