This lovely piece is inspired by my grandmother Jean. She carried herself with such a friendliness, a and a constant level headed simplicity that is unmatchable. She was so smart and wise, but her ability to never over complicate things remains beautiful and appreciated by me years after her passing.

The Jean Cowl is the perfect sweater weather staple. It’s a fun project with a little bit of brioche, but not too much to overwhelm somebody who is newer to the technique. This cowl finishes with a beautiful, sophisticated, yet simple look that will go with all of your Fall and Winter wear.

You will need 6.5mm circular needles and two of your favorite colors of Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek, or your favorite worsted weight brand.

I would classify this pattern as an advanced beginner level. While most of the stitches are simple, there is a little bit of brioche involved. There isn’t much, purposely to give those who are newer to the technique a chance to complete the project without being too overwhelmed. This project can satisfy even the most advanced of levels. Sometimes we all love a simple piece.
