Beginner sweater pattern! If you have never knit a sweater before, this is the pattern you want to begin with! :)

This sweater is knit from the bottom up. You will first knit the front and back section in rows, using ribbing and garter stitch. Then, you will sew these sections together before knitting the sleeves. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the edges of the body, so there’s no sewing in this part! There are photo tutorials for the difficult parts.

The striping is optional. For the stripes, I kept on knitting with yarn A, but also knitted with a strand of yarn B. Yarn B (Scheepjes Invicta) is a very thin yarn, which makes it possible to knit both of the yarns together without a change in thickness of the fabric. By knitting with these two yarns, the stripes are very subtle. The colour changes in Scheepjes Invicta make for a slight ombré effect as well.
