This lovely wardrobe staple cardigan is the perfect over layer and companion for every hike, outside adventure or to cozy up with at home. The DK weight yarn worked up in a loose gauge makes this a quick knit, yet feels lightweight on the body, making this garment ideal for all occasions.

Construction:
Jensen is a top-down cardigan worked flat, starting with shaping the back neck, to basic raglan increases for working shoulders, sleeves, and body. The deep raglan lines are created to give this sweater a perfect sweatshirt feel and movement in the underarms for clothing under layers. Waist shaping gives it a relaxed and boxy fit. Slimmer fitting arms are created to keep this sweater functional and ready for any activity. This pattern provides several options for customizations, including; button collar or shawl collar, three different body lengths, and additional front pockets.

Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner.

Skills needed are: knowledge of top-down cardigan construction, Backwards Loop Cast-On, short rows, basic increases and decreases, picking up stitches, button band and pocket construction.

Jensen has a relaxed, loose fit in the chest and waist. The raglan increase sections, waist shaping, and loose gauge create this ease. The arms are intended to be slimmer fitting to offset the loose body fit. The DK weight yarn is worked using a larger needle size to create the best drape possible.
Jensen is intended to have 3-5 in/7.5-12.5 cm of positive ease in the bust and hip for a loose, easy-to-wear fit. Choose a size accordingly to ensure intended positive ease. Sweater sample shown in size 4. Model has 40 in/101.5 cm bust circumference and is 5 ft 3 in/160 cm tall.
