Jeremiah Crochet Baby Blanket
A free version is also available.
This pattern is also available for FREE on my website HERE.
Learn to crochet the Jeremiah Baby Blanket, a chunky design perfect for babies born during the cooler months!
Pair cozy colors with the falling leaves stitch for a truly autumnal baby blanket!
The colors in this baby blanket, as well as the name of the blanket, are inspired by the following Bible passage!
Blessed are those who trust in the LORD;
the LORD will be their trust.
They are like a tree planted beside the waters
that stretches out its roots to the stream:
It does not fear heat when it comes,
its leaves stay green;
In the year of drought it shows no distress,
but still produces fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
So, we have brown for the tree, blue for the stream, orange for heat, green for the leaves, a pale brown for drought, and red for fruit!
I loved letting the imagery in this passage guide the color choices for this blanket!
This imagery also guided the stitch choice, which is the falling leaves stitch.
The blanket is finished with one of my FAVORITE blanket borders, the camel stitch!
I hope you enjoy this pattern!
