Make your own crocheted butterfly! The applications for this project can be from hair accessories to decoration to little gift favors! This pdf comes with a step by step pattern for each part of the butterfly, pictures, and in depth assembly instructions. While the instructions are specially for a jersey tiger, you can easily adapt it to fit any design you want.
This is a beginner-intermediate project. The most difficult part will be the embroidery, but only a basic knowledge of crocheting in the round is necessary. You must be able to do a single crochet, increase, decrease, and back loop crochet (back loops only).
You will need thread yarn (though any kind of yarn works perfectly well!) in 5 colors. Optionally you might want a small piece of wire to help support the butterfly’s body.
