The Jersey Waterways cowl is worked flat in an easy to follow lace pattern, which is worked on both sides but maintains the same number of stitches throughout. As knit, the design makes decorative, undulating edges that require no additional finishing. Gauge is not critical.

The pattern is for a long circular knit for wearing as a cowl, a cowl and hood, or scarf, but is easily adapted to different shapes and sizes. Guidelines are included to make the cowl shorter, wider, or as a scarf.
