This is Shawl 3 in The Allen Girls Series

Jess was my baby sister-Jaki’s granddaughter, Cheli’s daughter. She passed due to complications from Cystic Fibrosis in 2010 and is greatly missed.
Jess was the baby of the family, and chronically ill, so she was always treated as the little princess by my brothers and I when she was little. By her tween year she had become our shadow- going where we did and doing as we did-regular teenage things, never letting her disease stop her from living life.
Jess was very crafty, always making something in one of several different mediums. She was also obsessed with anime, and symmetry.
Jess’s shawl combines yummy fibers with fun and playful color use, an easy but fun texture, simple stripes, simple but engaging lace, and two color brioche in a LARGE traditional triangle shape. The different textures throughout the shawl depict the many facets of the women who created and influenced my baby sister, as well as her love of texture, color and symmetry.
