This sweater is an all-over entrelac knit sweater with seamless, top-down in the round construction. This pattern features 2 options for sleeves (a straight sleeve and a shaped sleeve version). Along with the pattern, this also includes photo diagrams and a link to my video tutorial going over how to entrelac knit.

Entrelac knitting only consists of knit, purl, and slipped stitches. If you are a beginner knitter or have never used the entrelac technique, this pattern thoroughly walks you through the process.

Difficulty: Experienced beginner

-3.25 mm Circular needles
Varying cable lengths are recommended for collar, body and sleeves.

Notions:
-2 stitch holders or waste yarn
-Tapestry needle
-(optional) 5 stitch markers to mark BOR, where right sleeve and left sleeve start and end
-(optional) Row counter

Yarn in Sample:
Sandnes Garn “Peer Gynt”
99 yds / 50 g
DK / Light worsted

Alternative Yarn Suggestion
Drops Lima
109 yds / 50 g
Worsted

This technique favors a blown yarn, but it is not required.

Gauge: Stockinette - 22 sts x 24 rounds = 4”/10cm on 3.5 mm Needles. I have a loose gauge. If you are a tight knitter, you may need to size up, or you may be better suited using a light worsted yarn rather than DK to meet gauge.

I recommend knitting your gauge swatch flat rather than in the round.

If your gauge is off:

If you cannot meet gauge and you would like to see what size you should knit, please use this gauge calculator below. I would also suggest the following:
-It is important you are closer to stitch gauge than row gauge.
-Use the calculator to figure out what size you should knit. Please note that when you are knitting the yoke, the stockinette portion, before starting the base triangles, should be 1 inch long from where the collar ends at the FRONT of the neck.

Please note that as the rectangles are at a diagonal, variance in either row or stitch gauge will result in variance of size of the finished garment.
