From book:
“Designer Janet Scanlon cleverly combined several varieties of Mountain Colors’ hand-painted yarns to create layers of texture on the side of the basket. The Moguls yarn felts into rings of berry-colored jewels, and the blue mohair forms a lustrous and irridescent circle around the base. Experiment with other types of wool and make these baskets in the size and colors of your choice.”

Basket may be made felted or unfelted. Gauge listed is for unfelted version; if you plan to make the felted version, knit at 3 stitches to the inch. The larger needle is used for the felted version.

Worsted-weight yarns are held double; bulky weight yarns are single. This amount of yarn is enough for two baskets.
