✨ Two cowls, one pattern, a little bit of sparkle

Two cowl stitch looks in one pattern! I’ll admit, the first time I saw bead work I thought “no way, too hard.” But beads are not as hard as they look, and they add jewelry right into your crochet. My testers who had never used beads all said “that was easier than I thought!”

A picture tutorial shows you how to add beads to the edging of both cowl looks, and definitions and photos help with the stitches.

✨ What makes it work

• Two looks. Puff stitch and gull stitch versions.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Ultra Pima, Cascade Yarns (DK). Puff stitch shown in Buff (main) and Major Teal (trim), approx. 120 yds main plus 13 yds edging. Gull stitch shown in Ice and Gold, approx. 125 yds
• Hook: H (5.0mm)
• Tools: Darning Needle · Sewing thread and a thin needle · Scissors
• To finish like the sample: 42 small, lightweight craft beads with holes big enough for yarn (glass beads tend to be too heavy; for very small beads, use lace weight yarn for the edging)
