Jewel Of The Night Sweater with Slouchy Hat
The Jewel of The Night sweater is one of the simplest designed sweaters that anyone can adapt to their size or their family’s size.
The Info Diagram chart will show you how I came up with this design that is really a block-by-block recipe for a sweater. I’m constantly getting people saying can you make me one? I tell them give me a shirt that fits you the way you want it to look and I will use that for the measurements.
This block-recipe-design style allows you to easily figure our size and gauge. And if you make a mistake you can just add on the necessary block to get the fit.
The pattern is so versatile. The block style method lets you make a cropped version, a waist version, and you can turn it into a long waistcoat, or even a vest.
I paired it with the most simple slouchy hat. You just increase until the circle fits the top of your head and then several rows of decrease and some even rows before your hat takes its shape. Then you can decide if you want a short brim or a double one.
