This bell can be made different sizes using size U.S. 3 up to 7 needles and appropriate weight of yarn for needles of choice. Use DPNs with “stoppers” (point protectors) if you prefer shorter needles; or regular, full-length straight needles.

A time-saver technique is to begin with provisional cast-on and seam with three-needle bind-off.

Hanger loop options include i-cord, crocheted chain stitch, and braided strands of yarn used to knit the bell.

I found a knitted bell in red yarn with green tie at top on my in-laws’ Christmas tree years ago and studied it to work this simple pattern out!
